What's on tap, and what's on the plate
Twenty-two lines run beer and cider, a mix the Brewhaus keeps turning over, so the board you see this week is not the board you saw last month. The kitchen is a real kitchen, not an afterthought, which is what makes the Brewhaus a supper spot as much as a taproom. The move is to go hungry, take a flight, and let somebody behind the counter tell you what just kicked.
The idea underneath it
The Brewhaus talks about itself as a "third space," which is a fancy way of saying the place that is neither your house nor your job, the one where you go to sit and see people. Small towns used to have more of those. A county with no brewery and not many social rooms outside of restaurants now has one built on purpose, out of a house that was falling in. That is a better story than most taprooms get to tell.
